By train (from Osaka)
From Hankyu Umeda Station, take the Hankyu Kyoto Line train bound for Kawaramachi (rapid express or express) (approx. 40-50 minutes ride)

By car (from Osaka area)
From Umeda or Namba in Osaka City, take the Hanshin Expressway (No. 1 Loop Route)
Take the Hanshin Expressway No. 1 Loop Route eastward (toward Kyobashi) and exit at the “Hoenzaka Exit” or “Higashiyama Exit.
Take the Higashiyama Exit and drive toward Gion-Shijo via Higashiyama-dori or Shijo-dori. (The trip takes about 30 to 40 minutes.)
